Summary

 

●This week, influenza detections continued to decrease in southern and northern provinces. A(H3N2) and B/Victoria lineage viruses co-circulated. Twenty-seven caused by A(H3N2) and one caused by B(Victoria) virus outbreaks were reported in week 17.

●Among influenza viruses antigenically characterized by CNIC since October 1, 2021, 9(90.0%) influenza A(H3N2) viruses were characterized as A/Cambodia/e0826360/2020(egg)-like, 9(90.0%) influenza A(H3N2) viruses were characterized as A/Cambodia/e0826360/2020(cell)-like, 1248(35.2%) influenza B/Victoria viruses were characterized as B/Washington/02/2019-like.

●Among the influenza viruses tested by CNIC for antiviral resistance analysis since October 1, 2021, all influenza B viruses were sensitive to neuraminidase inhibitors and endonuclease inhibitors.
