Grants & Supports

In recent years, especially since the outbreak of SARS and avian influenza, the Chinese government has deeply recognized the importance of treatment, prevention and surveillance of influenza. Thus, the investment in influenza surveillance was significantly increased. A large proportion of the investment was allocated to the CNIC and the National Influenza Surveillance Network (NISN). Figure1-2 and Figure1-3 are the summaries of the funding situation for the NISN and the CNIC. These funding is mainly from the Ministry of Health of P.R.China, the financial allocations of the Central government for the CCDC, the collaborative projects with the WHO and the United States Centers of Disease Control and Prevention.
